Opening Tip:
  • The Cougars and Owls meet for the second time this season.
    • William Woods defeated Columbia in Fulton, 83-70, back on Dec. 4.
      • Tony Burks led the Cougars with 23 points and six rebounds. 
      • The Makenzie Fessler poured in a game-high 27 points in the win. 
      • William Woods shot 40.6-percent (13-32) from the 3-point line and 50.8-percent from the field, while Columbia shot just 42.9-percent (24-56) from the field and 26.3-percent (5-19) from distance. 
  • Columbia is one of the hottest teams in the AMC, winning five-straight. 
    • During the win-streak the Cougars have defeated opponents by an average score of 23.6 points per game. 
    • The Cougars are shooting 49.5-percent from the field during that span and holding opponents to a 35.7 shooting percent. 
    • 3-point shooting has give Columbia a huge lift, as they are making 10.6 per game and allowing just 5.0 per game from the opposition. 
  • The Owls lost their last game to Missouri Baptist, 81-63, in St. Louis, Mo. 
    • Three players scored double figures for William Woods in the loss - Makenzie Fessler, Spencer Yoggerst, and Nathan Schwartze
    • Fessler added ten boards in the loss. 
  • The Cougars defeated Lyon on the road on Thursday, 83-62. 
  • Columbia leads the all-time series, 24-7. 
    • The Cougars have won the last two games played in Columbia.
    • The last time the two teams met in Columbia, the Cougars defeated the Owls 68-56. 
      • Tony Burks scored 17 points in the game for Columbia, including going 9-10 from the foul line. 

Tickets:
  • Ticketing in the Arena of Southwell Complex will be limited to one-third capacity in order to allow for more social distancing between stable groups.
  • Season ticket holders WILL NOT be affected, as their tickets are included in the new capacity limit.
  • Remaining single-game tickets will go on sale 48 hours prior to the start of a contest.
    • Students, Faculty, and Staff may claim tickets as normal (Sunday before the game) using their designated passcodes.

  • Fans are strongly encouraged to wear masks while attending.
