Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College men's basketball team opening their 2022-23 season campaign today as they hosted Central Christian College of the Bible and rolled to a 115-56 win. This marks the second consecutive year that the Cougars have scored 100+ points in their season opening game.
Central Christian started the game fast and took a quick 8-4 lead.
Collin Parker and
Trendon Tisdale brought the Cougars back to take a 9-8 lead. From there, the Cougars never trailed the remainder of the game and took a 55-21 lead at half before closing out the game with a 115-56 win.
The Cougars shot 50.5% from the field (47-93) and 40% from beyond the arc (12-30). Columbia dominated the defensive effort as they finished with nine steals and 62 team rebounds, to only 34 from the visiting team.

Justin Boyer pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with eight points.
