Columbia, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference has announced the members of the 2022 AMC Men's Soccer All-Conference and Season Award winners. Six Cougars gathered All-AMC First-Team distinction.
*all stats are prior to the AMC Tournament, which will begin today, November 5th
- 1st Team All-Conference – Liam Gibbs
- Senior goalkeeper, Liam Gibbs was named All-AMC First-Team for the third-consecutive season after playing in 12 contests, allowing just nine goals on 33 saves. Gibbs holds a 5-2-2 record on the season with three shutouts and 1077 minutes in the net.
- 1st Team All-Conference – Guy Baskerville
- Senior defender, Guy Baskerville earned a spot on First-Team for the first time in his career, starting in all 17 games for the Cougars. He helped the Cougar defense to a solid season while also recording one assist on the season.
- 1st Team All-Conference – Jackson Schrum
- Senior defender, Jackson Schrum grabbed First-Team All-Conference honors for the third-straight year. Schrum was a staple to the Cougars' back line, starting in all 17 games. He produced one goal for two points on the season.
- 1st Team All-Conference – Nick Brandt
- Senior forward, Nick Brandt achieved All-AMC First-Team praise for the third time in his career, appearing in all 17 games for the Cougars. Brandt recorded five goals during the regular season while also producing three assists. He has accumulated 13 points and two game-winning goals this season.
- 1st Team All-Conference – Erik Rajoy
- Senior midfielder, Erik Rajoy was named All-AMC First-Team for the second year. Rajoy has played in all 17 contests, accumulating six goals and seven assists for a total of 19 points. This season, he also produced two game-winning goals.
- 1st Team All-Conference – Diego Navia
- Senior midfielder, Diego Navia earned a spot on the First Team for the second-straight year, appearing in 16 games. Navia documented one goal and two assists during regular season action.
- AMC Champions of Character Team – Jacob Groark
- Sophomore defender, Jacob Groark was named to the AMC Champions of Character Team for his contribution to the NAIA Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
The AMC has also released the list of student-athletes to earn
Academic All-Conference recognition. To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must be in their second semester at their AMC institution, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and finish the year on the team. *fall sport freshman are not eligible for the award in their first season
