Columbia, Mo. – Playing in their first American Midwest Conference (AMC) series of the season, the Columbia College Cougars baseball team split a doubleheader against the Lyon College Scots on Saturday afternoon. The rubber match of the three-game set is Sunday at 12:00 PM.

- T3 (LC) – Lyon added two more runs, both on RBI doubles (CC 0, LC 5)
- B3 (CC) – Columbia scored their first run on a triple from Indy Stanley (CC 1, LC 5)
- T4 (LC) – Lyon added seven runs in their half of the fourth (CC 1, LC 12)
- B4 (CC) – The Cougars added three runs on a two-run double by David Dell and a sac fly from Tyler Davis. (CC 4, LC 12)

- B5 (CC) – Tom McKenna singled home Cade Carlson (CC 6, LC 13)
- T6 (LC) – A pair of RBI hits increased the Scots lead (CC 6, LC 15)
- B6 (CC) – Carlson singled home Wyatt Towe and Jarrett Newell (CC 8, LC 15)
- T7 (LC) – The Scots scored four times (CC 7, LC 19)

The Scoring:
- B2 (CC) – The Cougars got off to a fast start, as a sac fly from Jarrett Newell scored the first run of the game. A second run came in as Andrew Paten broke for second and got in a rundown, which allowed Myles Jasper to score from third (CC 2, LC 0)
- B3 (CC) – Columbia added five runs in the third with RBI hits from Paten, Indy Stanley, and Devyn Lopez and a two-run single from Newell. (CC 7, LC 0)
- T4 (LC) – The Scots scored their only two runs in the fourth (CC 7, LC 2)
Individual Leaders:
- The Cougars banged out 12 hits.
- Kellen Williamson had three hits, including a double.
- Indy Stanley recorded his ninth multi-hit game with a 2-5 performance with a double and RBI. In addition, he extended his hit-streak to 17.
- Jarrett Newell drove in three runs.
- Kaleb Richards earned the win going 5.1 innings, allowing five hits, no runs, and striking out six. Richards is now 3-0 on the season.
