COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No.5-ranked Columbia College women's soccer team's season came to an end in the Second Round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship.
The Cougars fell to No.24-ranked Benedictine (Kan.) in double overtime, 1-0.
Columbia produced an overall record of 17-2-1 this season, with their only other loss coming to NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State.
There was no score through 90 minutes of play, leading to a double overtime finish.
The Ravens notched the game-winner in the 95th minute as the Cougars were unable to answer.
Columbia out-shot Benedictine 27 to nine, while also accumulating seven corner kicks to two.
Benedictine advances to the NAIA National Championship final site, which is set for Nov. 27-Dec. 4 in Foley, Ala.
