Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College baseball team started their American Midwest Conference season today with two games against the nationally-ranked Missouri Baptist University Spartans. The 10th-ranked Spartans extended their winning streak to five, as Columbia dropped both games by scores of 5-8 and 7-11. The Cougars will play game three against the Spartans tomorrow to close out the conference series.
