COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 8-ranked Columbia College women's soccer team posted a 3-0 shutout win over Bellevue (Neb.) on Tuesday evening, grabbing their sixth victory of the season.
Riley Porter got the Cougar offense going in the 21
st minute, connecting on her second goal of the season, 1-0. Columbia posted 12 shots in the first half, while Bellevue took three.
In the 68
th minute,
Abigail Logan added to the Cougar lead for her first goal of the season, assisted by
Macie Lucas, 2-0.
Columbia sealed the deal as
Isabella Govero found the back of the net with 10 minutes left in the contest, assisted by
Riley Porter.
The Cougars had 14 corner kick opportunities, and summed 22 shots in the match.
Natalie Allison made four saves on the night, claiming her sixth win of the season.
Columbia returns to action for a road matchup against Missouri Baptist on September 30 at 1:00 p.m.
