Walnut Ridge, Arkansas - The Columbia College men's soccer team dropped a close contest to the host Eagles of Williams Baptist University today.
The Cougars moved to 9-3-4 overall and 4-1-2 in conference play with the loss, while the Eagles improved to 9-3-4 overall and 5-2 in league play.
Columbia has one more regular season contest this week as they travel to Mission Univeristy on Saturday.
Currently, the Cougars sit in fourth place in the American Midwest Conference standings.
Most of today's contest was back and forth action with Columbia controlling the offensive effort, out-shooting WBU 14-4 through 90-minutes of play.
Williams Baptist was credited with one shot in the second half, but that would be all they needed as Jacobo Obradors scored off of a pass from Hugo Gil.
