#11 Women's Soccer Plays Past Harris-Stowe

St. Louis, Mo. - The 11th-ranked Cougars of Columbia College traveled to the campus of Harris-Stowe State University today for their first conference matchup this season.

Columbia, now 15-0 all time against Harris-Stowe, moves to 6-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the AMC, while the Hornets fall to 3-5-1 and 0-2 in conference play.

After a penalty kick goal from Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco just 11-minutes into the half, the Cougars only managed one more shot in the first half.

Early in the second half, the Cougars extended their lead to 2-0 off of an own-goal from the Hornets.

Then, six minutes later, Riley Porter netted her fifth goal of the season off of a pass from Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco, putting Columbia up 3-0.

Riley Porter scored her sixth goal of the season with an assist coming from Cassidy Head, tying Macie Lucas for the team lead.

The Hornets tried to get some momentum as Annalisa Castro scored in the 71st-minute, but that would be all Harris-Stowe could muster as Columbia took the 4-1 win.

Natalie Allison earned her fourth win of the season as she registered two saves today.
