ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The No. 23 Columbia College men's soccer team competed in their third-consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament Finals this evening against Missouri Baptist University.
The only goal of the contest was scored by the Spartans nearly ten minutes into the second half. As a result, the Cougars were defeated 1-0.
Despite Columbia having more offensive opportunities with 19 shots compared to Missouri Baptist's five, the Cougars could not find the back of the net.
In the second half alone, Columbia took 13 shots.
Matheus Pereira stood in goal for the Cougars, making one save and allowing one goal.
Columbia will await the NAIA selection show on November 16 at 2:00 p.m. to determine if they will receive an at large bid to the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Tournament.
