Columbia, MO - The Columbia College baseball team is proud to announce its second annual First Pitch Celebration. This event is set to recognize the programs alumni, the upcoming 2025 season, and to celebrate the storied success of Cougar baseball.
  
 
Date: Saturday, January 18^th , 2025
 
Location: Southwell Gymnasium on the campus of Columbia College
 
Cost: $75 per person (all proceeds benefit Columbia College Baseball)
 
Dress: Business casual
  
 
Schedule of Events:
 
5:30: Social (ticket cost includes beverages, wine, beer, etc.)
 
6:15: Dinner served
 
7:00: Message from the coaching staff, recognize alumni, and introduce the team
 
7:30: Keynote speaker: Matt Allison, professional baseball scout for ten years and the current Area Supervisor, Upper Midwest for the Tampa Bay Rays
 
Matt has spent ten years scouting and signing Major League prospects. We are blessed to have Matt join us and take us inside the life of a professional scout. This includes identifying prospects, evaluating prospects, communicating with prospects, and signing prospects. Matt is especially welcome because he signed former Cougar Kenny Piper, who is still playing in the Rays organization!
