Columbia, Mo. - The Cougars of Columbia College played host to the #5-ranked Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands tonight in non-conference action.
The Patriots came into the contest riding a six game winning streak that included wins over three ranked teams.
The Cougars got on the board first with a goal from
Kai Garriock that was assisted by
Drake Morrissey.
Seven minutes later,
Zach Baker assisted
Matthew Cessna on Columbia's second goal, extending their lead to 2-0.
The Patriots responded quickly with three goals at the end of the first to lead 3-2 heading into the second quarter.
From there, Cumberlands continued to push their offensive prowess as they would play to a 17-3 win over Columbia.
