QUINCY, Ill. - The Columbia College softball team competed against NCAA Division II Quincy University (Ill.) this afternoon, dropping game one 3-0, while coming out on top 2-0 in game two.

The Cougars move to 9-9 on the season.

• Jazlin Gottman recorded four strikeouts over 4.2 innings pitched
• Quincy added seven hits to Columbia's four

• Ellie Kliethermes drove in one RBI in the fourth inning
• The Cougars produced eight hits, while Chesney Luebbering led the way with two
• Emma Bruno scored the final run of the contest off a fielder's choice in the 5th inning
• Suzanna Shanks and Ellie Kliethermes recorded a double
• Kathryn Guinn pitched a complete game, striking out one

Columbia returns to action at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on March 23 for a double header match up beginning at 2:00 p.m.
