KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The No. 24-ranked Columbia College baseball team ended their season this evening at the NAIA Opening Round Finals of the Kingsport bracket.
Columbia started the day with an upset win over No. 6-ranked Webber International (Fla.), 6-5, before falling to No. 13-ranked Tennesse Wesleyan this evening, 9-8.
Columbia finished the season with an overall record of 39-16, resulting in the second-most wins in a season in program history.

- Columbia added two runs in the third inning off a fielder's choice and a single from Braden DeSonia, regaining the lead, 5-4
- Brayden McGinnis knocked out a two-run homer in the fifth inning, allowing the Cougars on top 7-4
- Columbia held an 8-4 advantage heading into the eighth inning
- The Bulldogs scored five unanswered runs, and ultimately took the ball game, 9-8
