COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 14-ranked Columbia College men's soccer team took their first loss of the season in their home opener against No. 12-ranked Missouri Valley College, 3-1.
The Vikings scored back-to-back goals just after halftime to secure a 2-0 lead.
In the 59th minute,
Carter Redford secured the only goal of the contest for the Cougars on a penalty kick, putting the Cougars down one, 2-1.
Missouri Valley claimed their final goal of the evening in the 72nd minute, taking a 3-1 advantage.
