Fayette, Mo. - The Columbia College Cougars ran into an offensive powerhouse today in that of the Central Methodist Eagles as the Cougars fell 3-0 to the hosts.
Columbia will stay on the road as they next travel to Ottawa, Kansas to play in the Ottawa Invitational on Thursday, September 12th.
Today, the Eagles totaled 48 kills to just 26 from the Cougars. Columbia's blocking was the lone bright spot as they out-blocked CMU 6-3.
Isabella Kincaid once again led the Cougars with seven kills to go along with nine digs.
Mariana De Carvalho followed with five kills and two service aces, while
Allana Capella and
Agatha Emanuelle both totaled four kills each. Emanuelle added three block assists and one solo block.
Hannah Vogt distributed 13 assists with seven digs, with
Giovanna Bicalho following with seven assists.
Clara Gower registered double-digit digs for the tenth consecutive game as she finished with 10.
