Hannibal, Mo. - Columbia College men's soccer continued their strong conference play with a convincing 3-0 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange on Tuesday evening. The Cougars improve to 7-5-2 overall and 3-0 in the AMC.
Josh Sutton opened the scoring early in the 4th minute off an assist from Cameron Watts, giving Columbia a 1-0 lead that they would take into halftime.
The Cougars' offense came alive in the second half, adding two more goals to seal the victory. Sidiki Kromah extended the lead in the 61st minute on a feed from Wil Essner, who then assisted Layton Dahl in the 70th minute to make it 3-0.
Columbia controlled the match throughout, outshooting Hannibal-LaGrange 14-10. Wil Essner orchestrated the attack with two assists.
Osman Naz earned the shutout for Columbia with six saves, improving his record to 5-3Â on the season.
The Cougars are back in action this Saturday against Williams Baptist University when they will recognize their seniors.Â
