Bellevue, NE - The Columbia College volleyball team will face the seventh-ranked Bruins of Bellevue University tomorrow in the Opening Round of the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament. The match is slated for a 1:00PM start time inside the BU Fieldhouse. The game will be streamed for free on the NAIA Network and Urban Edge Network.
Bellevue boasts a 26-4 record as they secured an automatic bid to the Opening Round through the Frontier Conference, where they finished as tournament runner-up to top-seeded Providence. The defending national tournament runner-ups, the Bruins are returning to the national tournament for the 10th straight season and the 17th time in 19 years.
Columbia earned an automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament after winning the American Midwest Conference regular season and tournament titles. The Cougars finished as AMC regular-season champions after finishing with a 17-1 league mark.
The Cougars have won four national championships in program history and are making their 31st appearance in the NAIA National Tournament field, the most of any program in the nation. Columbia won its 25th conference tournament after sweeping Stephens College in the AMC tournament championship match.
