Men's Soccer Headed to Fourth Straight AMC Finals

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Columbia College men's soccer squad secured a dramatic 1-0 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange University (Mo.) on Friday night, advancing to their fourth consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) Finals with an own goal in the 89th minute.

The Cougars dominated throughout, outshooting the Trojans 10-5 and earning 12 corner kicks to Hannibal-LaGrange's one. Despite the offensive pressure, the breakthrough didn't come until the final moments when Columbia's relentless attack forced a defensive error.

Goalkeeper Mason Beck earned the win with three saves to secure the clean sheet. The victory improves Columbia to 10-5-3 overall and 5-0-1 in conference play.

Columbia will face Harris-Stowe State University (Mo.) in the AMC Finals at R. Marvin Owens Field on November 11th. Kick off is set for 6:00 PM.
