Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College baseball team battled the elements today with rain and windy conditions, but the weather could not slow down the Cougars as they picked up two wins on the day.
Playing host to the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University, the Cougars won both games today to open their conference series by scores of 15-2 and 13-4.
Games three and four of the series will not be played until Monday, due to the weather.
The Cougars still sit in first place in the American Midwest Conference standings with an overall record of 29-5 and a conference record of 22-4.
