Kingsport, TN - The Columbia College Cougars saw their 2025 season come to end today as they fell twice to the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan University.
After dropping a close 6-5 contest to start the day, the #3-ranked Bulldogs turned on the offensive pressure in game two as the Cougars would fall by a score of 18-1.
The Cougars needed one win today to advance to the NAIA World Series in Idaho, but were faced with the tough task of taking down the defending national runner-ups in that of TWU.
Columbia's record-breaking season came to end after Tennessee Wesleyan won both games to advance to the World Series for the third time in the last four seasons.
The 43 overall wins and 31 conference wins were both program records for Columbia this season, as they end with an overall record of 43-11.
