SEWARD, Neb. - The fourth-ranked Columbia College women's soccer team dropped its 2025 season opener 3-1 to Concordia University (Neb.) on Friday evening at Bulldog Stadium.
Concordia took an early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute of action. Columbia answered back in the 23rd minute as
Georgia Pardalos found the net off an assist from
Izzy Cole to tie the match 1-1.
Nearly ten minutes later, the Bulldogs regained the lead before halftime, 2-1. Concordia later sealed the victory with the lone goal of the second half in the 85th minute.
Pardalos led the Cougars with four shots and three on target, while goalkeeper
Natalie Allison made 10 saves to keep the match competitive.
The loss drops Columbia to 0-1 on the season.
Columbia returns to action for their home opener against Grace College (Ind.) on August 30th at 12:00 p.m.
