St. Louis, Mo. – The Columbia College volleyball team remained undefeated in American Midwest Conference play Friday, earning a pair of 3-0 victories to improve to 3-0 in league action.

The Cougars (3-10, 2-0 AMC) swept Hannibal-LaGrange University 25-9, 25-19, 25-12 at a neutral site in St. Louis before adding a second conference win when Mission University forfeited their scheduled match.

Viola Giangreco paced Columbia's offensive attack with 11 kills on .562 hitting, while Heather Bana added nine kills (.421) and Nazarena Avila contributed seven kills without an error (.583).

Alexa Olson ran the offense with 20 assists, while Hannah Vogt added 18. Defensively, Taylor Johnson led all players with 14 digs and served three aces.

The Cougars dominated from the opening serve, hitting .409 as a team while holding the Trojans to -.025 hitting percentage. Columbia controlled the net with nine total blocks, led by Mila Zoric's four.

Hannibal-LaGrange (1-5, 0-3 AMC) struggled offensively throughout, managing just 17 kills on 81 attempts with 19 errors.
