Columbia, Mo. – The No. 22-ranked Columbia College men's basketball team had three players score in double figures as the Cougars posted a 90-77 victory over Mission University on Thursday at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

Caleb Jones added 17 points, while Marcelous Phillips scored a career-high 15 points off the bench on 6-of-9 shooting. Columbia shot 47.3 percent (35-74) from the field, and dominated the glass (49-29) and points in the paint (56-20). The Cougars also had 20 offensive rebounds in the win.

The Cougars won their sixth-straight game to improve to 16-2 and 5-0 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC), while Mission fell to 7-11 and 3-2 in the league.

The Cougars led 31-18 with 6:47 remaining on a three by Johnny Anderson, but Mission answered with six straight points to cut the margin to 31-24 and force a Columbia timeout.
