BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. - The Columbia College men's lacrosse team continued their winning ways with a 17-8 victory over (RV) University of Michigan-Dearborn tonight at DCD Fieldhouse.
Columbia, now 2-0, will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to face Aquinas College to conclude their road trip.Â
The Cougars jumped out to a 3-2 lead after the first quarter, with goals from Will Rivenburgh, Drake Morrissey, and Nico Andrews. Columbia extended their advantage in the second quarter, outscoring the Wolverines 5-1 to take an 8-3 lead into halftime. Brock Pleis and Drake Morrissey led the way with key goals in the period.
Columbia continued to pour it on in the third quarter, winning the frame 4-3 to build a commanding 12-6 lead. Nico Andrews and Drake Morrissey each found the back of the net to keep the pressure on Michigan-Dearborn.
The Cougars sealed the victory in the fourth quarter with five more goals. Brock Pleis scored twice, including a man-up goal, while Nico Andrews and Drake Morrissey added goals to cap off the 17-8 win.
