OLATHE, Kan. - The Cougar baseball team traveled to Olathe, Kansas today to complete the series with MidAmerica Nazarene. Columbia took game one 4-2 (7 inn.) in a complete effort on both sides of the ball. Game two was back-and-forth as Eric Fields threw eight strong innings, allowing just five hits. The game was tied going into the ninth, but the Cougars fell short 3-4. 

After the day, Columbia moves to 8-6 on the season.

• Zac Fruend led the way for the Cougs going 3-for-4 with three RBI's

• Colton Nichols delivered a clutch single in the sixth to tie the game 2-2
• Eli Miller had a sac fly in the eighth, giving the Cougars a 3-2 lead

Columbia will return to action on Tuesday, March 3 at home against Missouri Valley College. The single game is set to start at 12 p.m.
