COLUMBIA, Mo. – Columbia College baseball swept a Saturday doubleheader against Mission University on Saturday, winning a ten-inning thriller in the opener before completing a stunning seventh-inning comeback in the nightcap.
Tyler Renn delivered the signature moment of the day, launching a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to cap a four-run rally and seal a 5-4 victory in the nightcap. The sweep moves Columbia to 13-7-1 overall and 4-1-1 in American Midwest Conference play.

Zac Fruend homered to left field in the seventh inning with Jason Pearl aboard, a two-run blast that erased a two-run deficit and knotted the game at three, forcing extra innings. Dylan Carlton launched a solo home run to left field in the third inning to open the scoring for Columbia. Jason Pearl delivered the walk-off in the tenth inning, singling to left field to plate Hunter Shoulta with the winning run. Hunter Shoulta went 2-for-5 with a double. Joey Marcinkiewicz went 2-for-5 with a double.

Tyler Renn delivered a walk-off grand slam to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning, driving in Tyler Davis, Zac Fruend, and Braydn O'Neal to complete a comeback from a 4-1 deficit; Renn finished with four RBI. Zac Fruend reached base via a single in the seventh and scored on the grand slam. Braydn O'Neal drew two walks and scored in the decisive seventh-inning rally. Hunter Shoulta went 1-for-3. Eli Miller doubled to center field in the second inning.
