Baseball End of Season Recap

COLUMBIA, Mo. - After securing their fourth American Midwest Conference (AMC) regular season title, the Columbia College baseball team closed out the 2026 season with 30-13-1 overall record and a 17-3-1 finish in the AMC. Head coach Darren Munns concluded his tenth season at the helm of the program. 
Season Milestones
  • The Cougars completed their ninth season with 30 or more wins and the second fewest losses in program history 
  • Columbia produced a batting average of .310, with a .959 OPS, 355 runs scored, 431 hits, 70 homeruns, 315 RBI, and 222 walks 
  • On the mound, the Cougars had a program second-best ERA of 3.81, limiting opponents to a program best 107 walks and 362 hits allowed
  • Tyler Renn had a decorated senior campaign breaking multiple program records, including:
    • Individual career hits (288)
    • Individual career doubles (69)
    • Individual career homeruns (58)
    • Career RBI (241)
    • Career at bats (724)
    • Career total bases (547)
  • Renn also found himself second for career games played with 207
  • Zac Fruend earned a few spots on the all-time list for the Cougars including: 
    • Individual season batting average (seventh all-time, 0.421)
    • Individual career batting average (third all-time, 0.407)
    • Individual season homeruns (tied for sixth, 17)
    • Individual career homeruns (tied for eighth, 28)
  • Parker Anderson saw himself at second all-time for individual season ERA with 1.96 (minimum 35 IP)
