COLUMBIA, Mo. - After spending one season at NCAA Division II University of Illinois Springfield, Noah Jacobs will join the Columbia College men's basketball staff as the assistant coach. During his time at UIS, he helped the Prairie Stars finish third overall in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) regular season, win 13 conference games, and qualify for the conference tournament under head coach Matt Brock.

Tyler Bredehoeft said. "He brings an enthusiasm and passion to the program that will elevate our student-athletes' experience. His time spent at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UIS allows him to bring a wide variety of value to the program."
Prior to his time at UIS, Jacobs spent two seasons as a graduate assistant and video coordinator at NCAA Division I Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi under head coach Jim Shaw. While with the Islanders, he coordinated film exchange, performed film breakdown, created graphics, and assisted with on-court player development. The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi program recorded back-to-back 20-win seasons during his tenure.
A Springfield, Ill. native, Jacobs began his coaching career at Edwardsville High School. Before that, he served as a manager for the Illinois State men's basketball team under head coach Dan Muller from 2017-20.
Jacobs earned his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and completed his master's degree while at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
