COLUMBIA, Mo. — Columbia College men's soccer celebrated senior day with a 4-0 win over Maharishi International University (Iowa) on Saturday at R. Marvin Owens Field, improving to 7-1-1 on the season.
Pedro Moutinho opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing off an assist from Josh Sutton. Drew Schlimme doubled the lead less than 10 minutes later, and Joshua Peterson made it 3-0 before halftime, assisted by Schlimme, sending Columbia into the break in firm control.
Freddie Fenton capped the scoring in the 66th minute off a feed from Connor Lovell.
Columbia outshot Maharishi 17-10, and goalkeepers Mason Beck and Caden Hof combined for the shutout, stopping all four shots on target they faced.
The Cougars are next in action Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 5:30 p.m., traveling to face Principia College.
