Andrew Green enters his fourth year as the assistant men's basketball coach in the fall of 2024. At Columbia, he has contributed to a 68-28 record along with an American Midwest Conference (AMC) tournament finals appearance in 2022, and a conference championship and conference tournament championship in 2023. Both the ’23 and ‘24 campaign finished with a trip to the NAIA national tournament. Green has 16 years of coaching experience, including most recently with the '23-'24 Cougar men's team that finished with a 24-7 mark.
Prior to Columbia College, Green was the Head Coach of South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA. His team finished the 2019-20 season with a 23-6 record advancing to the Elite Eight before the onset of the pandemic. He also produced four All-Northwest Athletic Conference players.
During the 2020-21 COVID season, Green spent his time as the assistant men's basketball coach at State Fair Community College (Mo), while also teaching adjunct courses in the education department at Missouri Valley College.

He began his coaching career in 2009, serving one year as an assistant coach at Green City High School. Green continued his journey as the head coach at Northwestern R-1 from 2010-12. As the varsity head coach, he recorded a 31-19 overall record.
Green made his way to William Woods University (Mo.) as the assistant men's basketball coach for two years before heading crosstown to Westminster College (Mo.) from 2014-19 as the associate head men's basketball coach. The Blue Jays secured two St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament championships in 2016 and 2017, while making back-to-back NCAA Division III national tournament appearances.
While at Westminster, he also served various roles as an admissions counselor, director of student involvement, men's and women's golf coach, and men's and women's cross country coach.
During the summer's of 2014 and 2016, Green coached two international tours in Austria, Slovenia, and Italy for USA Athletes International for a combined record of 9-2.
Green played collegiately at Avila before obtaining his bachelors in history from Central Methodist University in 2009, and obtaining his M.Ed. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from William Woods in 2014.
Green resides in Columbia with his wife, Marilyn and their Shih Tzu-Spaniel-Terrier, Pearl.
