Debbie Jameson

Debbie Jameson enters her eleventh year as Assistant Coach for the Columbia College softball team Fall 2024.

She is an important piece of the team’s success and has helped the team to a 339-151 (0.692%) record in her tenure which has included eight National tournament appearances, a 4th place finish in 2017, a 2nd place finish in 2018, four AMC Regular Season Conference Championships, and seven AMC Conference Tournament Championships.

Jameson's fastpitch experience began when she moved to Columbia after high school.  She played middle infield and center field for a women’s fastpitch softball team in Columbia for five years.

In 1995, she co-founded the Rockers Softball Club where she currently serves as a Club Director. She has coached teams of all ages in the club for 27 years. She has had many successful teams and loves to teach athletes softball and help them develop their life skills. In addition to her coaching success, Jameson has been the tournament director for USSSA fastpitch softball tournaments held in Columbia since 2000, serving as USSSA Area Director. 

Jameson is a native of Hannibal, Mo. and graduated from Mark Twain High School in Center, Mo. In high school, she participated in track and field where she was honored All-District and All-Conference four consecutive years as a sprinter and long jumper. She was also an All-State recipient as a long jumper and a State Champion.

Debbie and her husband, Charley, live in Columbia.  They have three children, Angela Bass, Amanda Brobst (Chris), and Andrew Jameson (Kathryn), and six grandchildren, Carson, Karlie, Aiden, Chase, Cameron, and Savannah.
