Tyler Niemann joined the Cougars for the 2019-2020 season serving as an assistant coach. Niemann’s duties entail being the posts’ position coach, an academic advisor, recruiting operations, player development, and creating graphics and videos for the team’s social media pages. In this role, Niemann broke down practice and game film and prepared opponent scouting reports throughout the course of the season.

Prior to Columbia, Niemann played collegiate baseball at Morehead State University, where the Eagles won two Ohio Valley Conference Championships. He finished his career as one of the most winningest players in school history and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management. Niemann will graduate with a Masters in Higher Education Administration from Southeast Missouri State University this May.

The Canton, MO native was recently selected to participate in the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and is also a member of the WBCA.
