Box Score Batesville, Ark. – The Cougar men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 shutout loss to Lyon College tonight. Columbia drops to 7-4-2 overall and 5-2-1 in American Midwest Conference (AMC) play with the defeat, while the Scots improve to 8-6-1 on the year and 6-4 in league play.

The lone goal of the contest came one minute into the second half as Lyon Colleges' Guilherme Rossi found the back of the net. The Cougars outshot the Scots 7-4 in the first half and 13-10 for the game, but were unable to come up with an equalizer as Lyon held on for the shutout. Brady Wulff had three saves in goal for Columbia.

The Cougar men will return to action Wednesday, October 22 when they travel to Parkville, Mo. to face AMC foes, Park University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
