Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Georgetown, Ky. - The No. 13 Cougar volleyball squad earned a pair of victories after conquering Bryan College 20-25, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-16 and 17^th ranked Georgetown College 25-14, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-16 today in day one of the Boneyard Brawl. The victories improve the Cougars, ranked No. 13 in the NAIA to a record of 27-4.

After stumbling in the opening game the Cougars got back on track against Bryan and cruised in the final three games. Four Cougars finished in double figure kills, led by Paula Rosa and Brooke Simpson who each finished with a double-double.  Rosa and Simpson had 12 kills apiece while Rosa had 15 digs and Simpson had 11.  Viktoriia Lavenchenko chipped in 11 kills while Polina Severina finished with 10 kills and seven aces.  Lydie van Deursen and Sarah Schwentker led the match with 46 assists and 16 digs, respectively.

Columbia started with dominating the first game against the Tigers of Georgetown, but then struggled to find their stride, totaling 16 hitting errors in games two and three. Columbia picked up the pace in game four to put away the 17^th ranked team in the NAIA by connecting on 16 of the 28 attack attempts.  The Cougars again had four players finish with 10 or more kills in the match.  Simpson led the charge with 15 kills and 17 digs  Severina had 12 kills and 11 digs, Rosa had 11 kills and 16 digs and Manon Soraru put down 10 kills in the win.  Lavenchenko notched six aces while van Deursen had 45 assists and Schwentker had 13 digs.

The Cougars continue action in the Boneyard Brawl tomorrow when they face No. 9 Viterbo University (Wisc.) at 10:00 a.m. and Indiana Wesleyan University at 3 p.m.
