Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College soccer squad tallied a victory tonight at home, dropping conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange University 1-0. Columbia improves to 9-4-2 on the season and 7-2-1 in American Midwest Conference (AMC) play. The Trojans of Hannibal La-Grange fall to 8-7-0 overall and 6-3 in league play.

The Cougars got on the board in the first half, when Nick Horne netted a goal in the 28th minute of play off an assist by Kory McDonald. Horne's 5^th goal of the season would mark the lone tally of the match.

The Trojans outshot the Cougars 11 (three on-goal) to seven (two on-goal) for the match. Junior goalkeeper Daniel Ainsworth registered the win, saving three shots on goal.

The Cougars wrap up regular season play Wednesday, Oct. 29^th when they host No. 10 Grand View University. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium.
