Columbia, Mo. - The 8
th-ranked Cougar Volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-10, 25-13) over American Midwest Conference opponent Freed-Hardeman University tonight. With the win, Columbia improves to 32-4 (10-2 AMC) while the Lions drop to 9-14 (4-7 AMC).
The Cougars finished with 49 kills on the night, led by
Paula Rosa and
Polina Severina with 11 apiece.
Brooke Simpson chipped in 10 kills and seven digs while
Lydie van Deursen led all players with 41 assists, four service aces, and seven digs.
The Cougars will host the first round of the AMC tournament on Tuesday, November 11
th. With the regular season wrapping up Columbia will wait for all the AMC games to be played before finding out whom they will play. Prior to the game,
