Box Score Columbia, Mo. – The Cougar men's soccer team picked up a 3-0 victory over American Midwest Conference (AMC) foe Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University tonight following the women's 3-0 win. The Lions five-match winning streak comes to an end as they fall to 5-1-0 on the season. Columbia improves to 3-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in conference play.

Vadim Cojocov put the Cougars on the board early after finding the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 2
nd minute of play. Columbia would score again in the 30
th minute when senior
Marko Paunovic's shot struck the corner post and ricochet into the net.
Matija Ceraj assisted on the play. Columbia would log 11 shots during the opening period, but was unable to extend their lead heading into the halftime break. The second half remained quiet until
Nick Horne headed a goal for the Cougars in the 65
th minute that marked the final score of the game.
Brady Wulff earned the win in goal as the Columbia defense held the Lions to just three shots on goal.
The Cougars return to action on Friday, September 26th for another AMC match-up with Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) University. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium.
