Box Score 2 Bourbonnais, Ill. - The Columbia Cougar volleyball team won two matches in the second day of the Holiday Inn Express Invite today, defeating University of St. Francis (Ill.) by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-17, and No.14 Grand View by marks of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-14. The wins take Columbia, which is ranked No. 5 in the latest NAIA poll, to 17-2 on the season.

Brooke Simpson led the Cougars with 10 kills and 13 digs.
Polina Severina and
Manon Soraru chipped in with seven kills apiece while Sarah Schwentke
r had 15 digs.
Columbia's
Manon Soraru led the way against Grand View with 11 kills.
Polina Severina added nine kills and 16 digs while
Lydie van Deursen dished out 39 assists.
Following the completion of today's matches,
Polina Severina and
Lydie van Deursen were named to the All-Classic team.

Columbia is back to American Midwest Conference regular season action on Tuesday, September 23rd. The Cougars host crosstown foe Stephens College at 7 p.m. in the Arena of Southwell Complex.
