Bourbonnais, Ill. – The Columbia College women's soccer team was in action this afternoon as they took on 20
th ranked Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The game ended in a scoreless draw as both teams battled the entire 110 minutes. The Cougars move to 3-0-2 and stay unbeaten on the season.
Columbia College seemed to be in control the entire game as they forced the Tigers to play defense throughout. The Cougars had 20 shots in regulation
including 11 on target. They also had nine corner kicks compared to zero from Olivet Nazarene.
The Cougars continued to pressure the Tigers throughout both overtime periods. They were able to outshoot Olivet Nazarene 3-1 but were unable to beat
Sarah Vrosh who was unbreakable all game. The senior keeper had 12 saves in the match. The Tigers move to 2-0-2 on the season.
Flavia Rosado was in goal for the Cougars this afternoon recording seven saves in the game.
The Cougars are back in action on Tuesday, September 13
th when they take on Central Baptist College in their first AMC matchup of the season. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Field.
