Women’s Bowling Kicks Off Season at Boilermaker Classic

Lafeyette, Ind. - The Columbia College women's bowling kicked off their 2018-19 season over the weekend when they traveled to Lafeyette, Indiana, to compete in the 2018 Boilermaker Classic. The Cougars finished eighth out of 14 teams in the event as they ended with a team score of 5,780 pins throughout the two day tournament.

Columbia College had a good first day during the individual section of the event as the team finished with 3,478 pins. On Sunday, the Cougars participated in the Baker style format of the tournament where each of the five bowlers bowl two frames in a game. Columbia was able to rack up an additional 2,302 pins on the day to give the Cougars a total of 5,780 pins for the weekend.

The bowling team is back in action on Saturday, October 13th when they travel to Springfield, Missouri, to compete in the 2018 Andy B's Classic hosted by Drury (Mo.) University.
