Conway, Ark. – The 2
nd ranked Columbia College men's soccer team competed against Central Baptist (Ark.) College in an AMC matchup today, topping the Mustangs 2-0 and remaining undefeated on the season at 12-0 and 6-0 in conference play.
After a scoreless half from both teams, the Cougars posted six shots, and one corner kick, while Central Baptist had just three shots.
The Cougars secured control of the ball early in the second half. Just minutes in, Columbia's
Mako Makoanyane passed off the ball to
Joe Spotanski who netted the ball and gave them the lead. At the 59
th minute mark Spontanski came in to secure the Cougars win by scoring the final goal.
Ryan Harrisskitt was in goal for Columbia and recorded three saves.
The team will play next on Wednesday, October 16
th when they are set to host the Lindenwood University-Belleville Lynx in an AMC contest. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Field.
