Conway, Ark. – The Columbia College women's soccer team competed against the Central Baptist (Ark.) College Mustangs in an AMC matchup today where the Cougars defeated the host squad 7-0 to improve to 9-3 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

The Cougars got off to a great start as Isabella Govero netted her first goal within the first two minutes of the game. Govero kicked in her second goal of the half at the 15^th minute. Columbia continued the attack as they increased their lead further with goals by Kelsey Mirts (18 minute mark) and Lucy Kingsley (20^th minute). The Cougars added another goal before the half, this time from  Brooke Schneider at the 27^th minute mark.

Columbia added to their lead with a goal by Reese Hamilton just minutes into the second frame. The Cougars scored one final goal from Maddie Ballard before securing the 7-0 win.

Kate Marshall and Rileigh Huffman shared time in goal for the Cougars.

The team will play next on Wednesday, October 16^th when they are set to host the Lindenwood University-Belleville Lynx in an AMC contest. The game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Field.
