Cougars Top Bobcats

Columbia, Mo. – Tonight the 9th ranked Columbia College women's basketball team played against the College of the Ozarks Bobcats right here in the Arena of Southwell Complex in a nonconference matchup. The Cougars defeated the Bobcats, who are ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Div. II Poll, by a final score of 76-64, improving the season to 4-0.

The Cougars started the first quarter scoring 11 unanswered points which assisted in their 13-point lead at the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats stepped their game up in the second quarter going on an early 13-2 run to cut Columbia's lead to just four heading into halftime.
 
College of the Ozarks trailed right behind Columbia all throughout the third quarter but the Cougars stayed consistent in the final quarter and extended their lead to claim the victory.

The Cougars scored 13 points to start the third quarter to pull away from the Bobcats and held them to just four to finish out the third quarter.
