Hannible, Mo. – Today the 9
th ranked Columbia College women's basketball team competed against the Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) University Trojans in an AMC matchup. The Cougars defeated the Trojans 85-48, improving to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
The Cougars won the tip-off and got on the board first. After the Trojans tied up the game at 10 the Cougars went on a 10-1 run to take back the lead. In the second quarter the Cougars continued their momentum and held Hannibal-LaGrange to just eight points to head into the locker room with a halftime score of 40-19.
Columbia kept up their energy and held a strong defense for the third and fourth quarters, extinguishing any efforts form Hannibal-LaGrange to seal the Cougar victory.
