Cougars Stay Undefeated in Conference Play

Walnut Ridge, Ark. - Tonight the 12th ranked Columbia College women's basketball team competed against the Williams Baptist (Ark.) University Eagles in an AMC matchup with the Cougars defeating the Eagles by a final score of 75-63. The win improves their season record to 10-2, and 6-0 in conference play.

The Eagles started the first quarter strong with their biggest lead being eight points in the final three minutes. Columbia bounced back in the second quarter when Geena Stephens made all four free throws to tie the game at twenty and eventually take a two-point lead going into the half.
 
Williams Baptist tried to keep it close in the third quarter but Columbia broke away from them in the final three minutes to end the quarter with a 12-point lead. The Eagles outscored the Cougars by one point in the final quarter, however Columbia's advantage was too much for Williams Baptist as the Cougars came away with the win.
