St. Louis, Mo. – Tonight the Columbia College men's basketball team went up against the Missouri Baptist (Mo.) University Spartans in an AMC match up. The Cougars were defeated by the Spartans with a final score of 71-66, moving to 4-5 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.
The Cougars took an early lead with a 25-4 run but Spartans pushed back going on their own run of 11-3. Columbia remained in the lead going into the locker rooms with a halftime score of 41-36.
For the majority of the second half control of the lead passed between both teams. Missouri Baptist was able to hold their lead with a 12- 7 run with three minutes left in the half. Columbia was unable to answer back and the Spartans claimed the victory.
