Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Cougar Lacrosse Falls 17-6

St. Louis, Mo. – This afternoon the Columbia College men's lacrosse team traveled to St. Louis, Missouri to play against the Tennessee Wesleyan University Bulldogs in a nonconference matchup. The game took place at Missouri Baptist University. The Cougars fell 17-6 in the match. Columbia is now 7-5 on the season.  

Tennessee Wesleyan came out in the first quarter and took the early lead 5-1 in the game. In the second quarter each team netted two goals, as the Cougars trailed 7-3 at halftime. In the second half the Cougars struggled to slow the Bulldogs down as they were able to score eight goals in the third, while Columbia only grabbed one heading into the final quarter. The Cougars needed a late surge, but were unable to find one as they only scored two in the fourth and fell by a final score of 17-6.

Goals were scored by: Tyler Parrott (4), Trevor Doren (1), and JT Huez (1).

Evan Richardson and Riley Mcdermont shared time in goal today. Richardson had nine saves, while Mcdermont recorded four.

The lacrosse team plays their final regular season game on Thursday, April 18th when they travel to Marshall, Missouri to face Missouri Valley College in a KCAC matchup. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
