Omaha, Neb. – The Columbia College men's soccer team was back in action tonight when they traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to take on the 15th ranked Bellevue University Bruins. The 20^th ranked Cougars defeated by the Bruins by a final score of 1-0 and are now 2-0 on the season.

The Cougars came out in the first half to a quick start as they created the first opportunity for a shot on goal but defense was king and neither team was able to grab an advantage, leaving a dead lock 0-0 score going into the break.

In the second half of the game, the Cougars came out and turned up the pressure. After a yellow card to the Bruins in the 75^th minute, Lesia Thetsane's free kick found its way through the Bellevue wall and into the back of the net. Columbia locked down their defense for the final 14 minutes to secure the upset win.

Ryan Harrisskitt was in goal tonight for Columbia, posting two saves on the night.

The men's soccer team is back in action on Wednesday, September 4^th when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa to take on the Grand View (Iowa) University Vikings. The game is set to start at 5:00 p.m.
