Henderson, Tenn. – The Columbia College women's soccer team was on the road in Henderson, Tennessee as they took on the Freed-Hardeman University Lions in an AMC matchup. The Cougars defeated the Lions 4-0. Columbia is now 6-3 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.
The game started off slow, after 12 scoreless minutes the Cougars were able to find the net and take the lead 1-0 off of
Jewel Morelan's goal. Columbia held their lead for the remainder of the half.
In the second half, the Cougars stayed aggressive as they held control of the ball. At the 55 minute mark the Cougars increase their lead with a goal from
Lucy Kingsley. The third Cougar goal was netted by
Brooke Schneider, off of a corner kick from
Molly Klein at the 67
th minute. The Cougars fourth goal was from the foot of
Kelsey Mirts, three minutes later

Kate Marshall was in goal tonight as she recorded one save.
The team will play next on Wednesday, October 2
nd when they travel to St. Peters, Missouri to take on the Missouri Baptist University Spartans in an AMC contest. The game will kickoff at 4:00 p.m.
